He has 20 years’ experience of working in the electrical industry and has worked on electrical engineering projects across Europe including France, Republic of Ireland and UK.

Roy Connolly who is current Contracts Director is responsible for the day to day running of all maintenance contracts. He started at B.I. Electrical Services straight after becoming an apprentice and has spent the last 20 years working in various roles from site supervisor to contracts manager before becoming contracts director.

Ian Humphreys said:

“Both Roy and Simon bring significant experience and expertise to the Board of Directors, something which will benefit the business as it continues to grow. The appointments also reinforce our values as a company in terms of internal promotion for our best people. You only have to look at Roy’s career within the company starting off as an apprentice and moving to senior management over a 20 year period. Similarly, Simon joined the company having gained extensive industry experience and has since rapidly advanced to senior management. Both are great assets to the company and that is reflected in their senior leadership now within B.I. Electrical Services.”

The appointments come as internationally renowned proponent of global quality and safety standards Jim Speirs also joined the board of B.I. Electrical Services as non-executive director.
